Prompt. Professional. Great system.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I make it a point to write reviews about companies or products that stand out to me. Whether they stand out in a wonderful way or in a horrible way. And this case Kinetico has gone above and beyond to stand out in a terrific way.

my experience with Kinetico is I am 82 years old living in the Villages Florida. I recently moved in and noticed the calcium deposits around my sinks and faucets and refused to drink the water do to The Taste. I was told by a couple neighbors that water treatment is pretty common in the Villages and the start shopping around. I took the recommendations and started making phone calls.

I called out Kinetico and for other different companies wanting to get the best price in the best system possible. When Kinetico came in the door with a price of $4,500 I about fell over. Their product seemed amazing and I thought it would be a great purchase but being 82 years old I wasn't sure how long I'll be able to enjoy the system.

I chatted with the other companies that came in as well, and nothing stood out to me like the Kinetico did. Being my age I'm not good with computers or timers or anything else that an electric system offered, and Kinetico was the only twin tank non-electric unit that actually clean the water and didn't just filter it through.

took me about a month to make the decision, but I decided to go with Kinetico and spend the extra money for a system that's going to last me as long as I'm alive and for a company that's been in business for over 30 years. I really appreciate the fact that they are locally owned and operated and that a family has owned the business since 1980 Something.

my unit has been in for about 2 months now and I have nothing but wonderful things to say. The lady who first came out to test the water was absolutely wonderful. She was not pushy at all all she did was test the water and leave me with a quote. The gentleman who came out to install the equipment was prompt and professional. He did a wonderful job and cleaned up his mess with in just a few minutes of installation. He showed me how to work the system and really educated me on the maintenance although there's not very much.

the first lady came back out a couple weeks after the system was installed and tested the water to make sure it was working perfectly and I already knew that it was. Within this a few days I started feeling the difference in the water especially in the showers and I started noticing a difference with my laundry and dishes.

can't say enough good things about this company. They really made the water conditioning experience for my first purchase nice and easy. I would highly recommend this company even if you don't purchase the $4,500 system. They will help educate you on water treatment and determine what you are looking for.

Kinetico dealers not held accountable to customers

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I had my softner rebuilt by their dealer (Dooleys). When I questioned a gasket not being changed, I was told all parts don’t need to be replaced on a rebuild.

The bill presented was significantly more than the quote, a shelf was broken, salt dumped on grass killing it, unit leaked bubbling recently epoxied floor and after 2 weeks of daily calls to fix unit. I called the Kinetico main office. It took 2 months to get everything resolved and warrantee extended 2 years since I could not be sure all parts had been replaced in rebuild. When unit failed within that time (Dooleys) never responded or answered calls or emails over 2 month period.

Kinetico though aware of previous issues and the 2 year extended warrantee on rebuilt said they had no way to make their dealer respond or honor warrantee.

Do u want to spend thousands of ur hard earned money to get this type of service. I don’t wish anyone else this type of aggravation, disrespect and financial fleecing.

Kinetico is a rip off and a scam. Trust a plumber instead

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I bought a new kinetic system 4years ago after installing a new well to update my softener system.

Previously I had a kinetic system for 16 years, not much trouble.

After 4 years with the new system, I just started getting hard water.

I change the filter every 3-4 weeks, use their red out salt only.

My new system had a "lifetime warranty". I paid $4k for it.

Now they tell me the warranty is no good, and I need to pay $5k for a new system!

This is a scam. Don't buy Kinetico. I've owned my home for 20 years.

Trust a plumber to install, and don't buy their rip off price! I may sue the office in Hartland Michigan, for misrepresentation, and fraud under Michigan law.

Kinetico water softener - constant problems

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I moved into a house with a Kinetico system and it never worked right. I have had to have a repair technician come about about once every six months to work on it and every time it has cost me between $700 and $1700.

The system either gets stuck in a continuous regeneration cycle and will not stop regenerating or it wont regenerate at all and we continue to have either very hard water or very salty tasting water.

Each time they have come out to repair it they insist we will not have a problem again after this repair, but the problems still continue. I'm currently looking into getting a different system.

Great system! Would strongly recommend!

Had some major water issues at our home in Southwest FL. Did research and Kinetico seemed like they had the best product and value on the market.

Had the dealer come out and they performed a water test and suggested a 2060 water softener and a K5 drinking water station. It has been installed since July of 2017 and WOW, what a difference this system has made to our lives! Plus, it is inslalled outside and during the hurricane, the system had no issues since it is non-electric! We love our system!

I have seen comments on price, but their products are the best value. The local dealer was a great experience for us, as well.

Cost to much to repair

My $3568.00 Kinetico 2060 dual tank with OD Water Softening System is broke. While only in year 8 of it's 10 year warranty (PARTS ONLY) the cost to have a technician come out and look at it is $185.00 for the first hour and $85.00 for every hour after that.

Since I live 2-1/2 hours from the dealer I am looking at a $397.00 minimum to even get it looked at. I requested technical info from Kinetico USA and was told that I would have to deal with a dealer for that. Not sure what the Customer Support link on their home page is for except maybe sales.

Long story is I disassembled it blind, cleaned the unit and reassembled it. If it fails to work now I plan on taking the head off and delivering it to the Kinetico Dealer to see what they will charge me for their in shop repair time.

Fantastic product by Kinetico

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have had a fantastic time using my K5 Drinking Water Filtration System. The dealer came out and installed it and was right on time.

He was very descriptive in the product, and gave me some information as to what I would need to do in case of a water issue. So far so good. No complaints. Kids love the water.

My wife loves the water. When we travel, and have bottled water, my kids complain and say the water tastes terrible. We've had it now for almost 7 months and never a problem. I can't wait to get a water softener now from my local dealer to do the whole home.

I would recommend Kinetico, and I would recommend a K5 drinking water system. Thanks Kinetico!

Plumping issue

They didn't install it properly. The softener discharge pipe just dropped into a drain pipe by drilling the pipe and duck-taped.

The duck tape coming off and pipe is easily moving. If it drops to the ground means on the attic water leaks and roof issues. I had fix it as an emergency with my own cost. They didn't do a good job.

That's all i have to say and this review won't let me submit until i finishes 100 words.

what a joke. Well, I paid 4300 for the system and they didn't do a good job. What a nightmare working with these kind of a guys.

You don't bother using spell check or re-read what you have written, do you? "Plumping" refers to injecting dead chickens with water, etc. at the processing plant.

Beware of 100% customer satisfaction guaranteed!

I purchased the Kinetico water softener system in March due to hair breakage in myself and children after moving into a new home and also a ring of black material in all three of my toilets. I had to have a servicer come back in May to "tweak it" as it still wasn't helping and continued to have the same problems.

I have called them multiple times to discuss this. To get a return call is like pulling teeth. They avoid calling me back and when do, make empty promises every time. The salesman who came to my home initially to give the water demonstration and sell me the unit, would not return my calls after the first time we talked as I am sure he felt guilty for promising me a guarantee he knows his company would not stand by.

Over 5 weeks ago, they did come out to put the unit in bypass to see if I noticed a new change without it, which I have not! I have called again multiple times without a return call. The district manager, Stephanie, in Minnesota particularly avoids my calls. I have now made2 payments for this unit while in bypass not even operating!

Please be very skeptical of what they promise you as I am experiencing first hand that they do not honor the 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. They told me in May, that the unit is working as it should. I told them it was never a problem that it was not working, the problem lies wherein it did not correct the problems I purchased the system to take care of. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what my next step is in this matter?

This is a $6000 system that is not correcting the problems as promised. I would have had no trouble paying for this if it fixed the issues however, paying for a system that does not as promised seems completely wrong!

I have had my Kinetico unit for about 27 years. Had a problem with it 7 years after purchase and it just started acting up today.

Really can't complain. I think it just needs to have the valves serviced. Service is the problem. Finding someone to respond to your calls for assistance.

I called Kinetico, they said they would have the service provider call me, but I haven't heard anything from anyone. I bypassed the unit because it was pumping brine out of the overflow. I now have a salt reservoir half full of brine, no soft water and no service. I would say the customer service is totally unacceptable.

I also attempted to contact TLC, the Kinetico representative in Albuquerque, and haven't heard from them either. So again Kinetico customer service pretty much sucks.

FILTER HOLDER CRACKED, CAUSE WATER DAMAGE!!! NO HELP FROM KINETICO

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Avoid Kinetico water filters. Our Kinetico K5 system broke while in use, and caused significant water damage.

Kinetico REFUSED to pay for the damage. Our system was installed a couple of years ago by one of their dealers. Kinetico is blaming us so that they don't have to pay a dime. Their unit failed, it cracked.

Kinetico also refused to put their "engineer's decision" in writing. WE CANNOT TRUST KINETICO IN OUR HOUSE. THIS WAS A WASTE OF MONEY AND HAS COST US THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO CLEAN UP THE MESS. PLUS OUR TIME!!!

We will use MultiPure system in the future.

MultiPure is also NSF certified. It is made of stainless steel, NOT cheap plastic that cracks like Kinetico-- which is NOT NSF certified.

Kinetico Lubbock - fraudulent thieves

I have been a paying customer of Kinetico water for 9 months. I began my service at two houses in March of 2016.

On the very first day of installation, both water coolers installed in my houses were the wrong units. Kinetico stated they would order the correct units and replace them asap. Over the course of four months, Kinetico brought six new machines to my houses, all of which were identical to the wrong units I already had. I had ordered a unit that provided instant hot and cold water, but they delivered units that provided room temperature and cold water.

They delivered the wrong units on four separate occasions. It would be nearly 5 months before the correct units were brought to my houses. Miraculously, the day I called to cancel my service at both houses due to the fact that I had never received what I had been paying for, I was told that both of the correct units had just arrived and they would be happy to come out and install them right away. I live in Lubbock Texas, which has terrible water quality.

My water continued to taste awful even while using Kinetico's systems. I had hoped that the correct units would improve the taste of my water. Unfortunately there was no difference in Kinetico water and tap water. In addition, the first 4 1/2 months of service, I experienced incorrect billing on at least three occasions.

I made several phone calls requesting corrections and refunds due to the overbilling. Once the new units were installed, there continued to be no difference in the quality of water. The tenants in my second house immediately contacted me after the installation informing me that the installation crew was incredibly inconsiderate and rude to them. They made a mess, moved furniture around and left items in the middle of the floor and just left my tenants with the mess to clean up.

The tenants were so offended by their behavior, they asked me to cancel the service and have them come and remove the unit because they did not want to be a part of a company that treated people that way. I called Kinetico and canceled the service on that house and they came and removed the water filtration unit in July or August. In December, I discovered that Kinetico was continuing to illegally withdraw money from my debit card to pay for a water cooler that had not been in the home for 4 1/2 months. I immediately called to inquire as to why the Kinetico company was stealing money from my account by charging me for filtered water that they had removed some five months earlier.

I was told they would extend me credit until February to help offset the overages. (A 30 day "credit" for steeling 4-5 months of unauthorized charges for a service I no longer had in the home). I stated I simply wanted a full refund and to cancel the filtered water service at my home where I still had a water cooling unit. I also asked them to send my sales rep out to test my water as it had tasted awful the entire time I had been using the filtered water system.

Jason, the salesman, came out and tested the water and informed me that I was not receiving any filtered water at all, it was tap water being dispensed through my cooler. Again I informed Jason that I wanted the unit removed from my home and a full refund since I had been paying and over paying for a service that I actually never even received from the very first day of installation. He immediately texted the installer of the unit and the installer came out within the hour and visited with me as well. I called the main office in Lubbock and spoke with Coral and told her I wanted to discontinue my service with Kinetico.

I explained that the company had continue to steal money from me by charging me for a service I was not provided as well as their own sales rep had just left my house having tested my filtered water only to determine that I had not been receiving filtered water at all, only tapwater. I stated that I wanted a full refund of everything I had paid to Kinetico for nine months since I had received nothing for my money. Coral said she would look into things and call me back. This is basically how the majority of my phone calls to Kinetico have ended over the course of the past nine months.

It is as though no one has heard a thing I have said. They are intent on forcing me to keep this unit, rather than discontinue my service and remove the unit from my home. It has been over a month and they continue to want to visit with me about the problem with my cooler. I have canceled my service and requested a pick up over a month ago still to no avail.

They continued to tell me that they will not give me a refund, they will only give me credit. Credit on unfiltered water does me no good. I do not want to use this dishonest, crooked company who is perfectly OK with stealing money out of my account simply because they have my debit card number on file. I have left voicemail messages with the owner, Keith Peel and with the sales manager, Jennifer Byrd.

Neither of them have returned my calls. For 9 months I have been paying Kinetico for filtered water and have never received a single drop of filtered water. Kinetico, the owner-Keith Peel, Jennifer Byrd and Haley define incompetence, dishonesty, fraud, the complete absence of customer service, and pure corruption.

I have had nothing but problems and a complete lack of customer service with these people, not to mention the fraud and the lies they have perpetrated on me. My experience with Kinetico has been 100% negative in every way and I may find it necessary to consult with my family attorney in order to get a full refund of every nickel I have spent with this lying, fraudulent company owned by Keith Peel in Lubbock, Texas.

Kinetico - Filtration System Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Just had our second Kinetico installed. We recently moved to Leesburg, FL from Wisconsin where the water was very hard and we had a Kinetico installed.

I wouldn't trust another company with our water treatment. We have had several electric systems over the years, and would never go back. It's been about a month since the local Kinetico dealer installed our new unit and again we could t be happier. I see a lot of people complaining about the cost to maintain the system, so I thought I could give you some of my numbers.

The systems we purchased was the 4040 and K5. Same set up in Wisconsin and Florida. Only difference is the names have changed. The 4040 is installed in our garage for hardness and chlorine removal, and the K5 went under our sink in the Kitchen for purification.

We add salt to the 4040 about once a year which is $60 from our local dealer. There is a filter on the system which doesn't have to be changed until the water pressure decreases but we do it once a year. That's $10.50. And the filters for us on the K5 will last about a year and a half.

Those filters are $82 and include installation. If you ever never had a water softener, you may think that's a lot. But brother let me tell you. It's penny's compared to an electric system.

First having a K5 eliminates the filter in the fridge so you don't have to change that. And then having a 4040 you can cut your soap in half and save 10-15 bucks a month.

Not to mention you don't have to buy new silver wear and glasses or change our shower heads as often. If your shopping around, it's definitely a company I would recommend at least getting a quote for.

Kinetico - Water Softener Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I saw this site when I was doing research on water treatment. We just moved into our new home in On Top of The World in Ocala and immidiantly started seeing hard water spots.

We specifically asked the builder if Florida had hard water. He told us no and not to worry about it. Well after maybe 3 weeks in the home, not only was it apparent. Our dishwasher was already starting to show spotting.

Kinetico was on our preferred vendors list in the community so I called them and set an appointment and then researched. My heart sank a little after reading these reviews. We had them come out and like some of the other reviews it was a young girl named Heather. She was very polite and you could tell she was excited about Kinetico.

She showed us the tests, explained her equipment and tried to get us to do a trial for 30 days, but we never make decisions on the first day. We told her we wanted to wait and she didn't push. She went over the first call discount again and said she could hold it for a week. She sent us a thank you note a day later and called a couple days later.

We were sold at the demo, we just wanted to see if there were any additional discounts. There aren't. The prices she showed us in the book is what they stay at. We called three or four people who were on the reference list and asked how they liked the system and everyone raved about the equipment.

We purchased about three months ago and I'll tell you. Just the peace of mind alone is worth it! Since the purchase Heather called at installation and then came out back to the house and re-checked the water and did a full system explanation. It was the type of service you used to recieve when companies actually cared.

We are really happy with the system and with the costumer service. On our street which is all new homes.

They have installed about 5 already. Good work travels fast!
